FAQ
In general
Q: Is the camp really free or is there some catch?
A: The camp is completely free, altough some olografician
(recognizeable, don't worry) might ask you for a voluntary donation at
the entrance, we can only appeal to your good will there.
Q: Can I lend a hand to the organization of the MOCA?
A: Sure, contact us by e-mail or communicate your availability through the registration form.
Q: Is registration important or can I skip it?
A: We need you to register to help us size the camp and its services, so if you intend to attend, registration is very useful.
Time
Q: When can I come to the MOCA? Can I stay a little longer?
A: The camp begins on Thursday morning with the welcome, but you can
come as soon as Wednesday evening to help us with the last few
arrangements :) The camp ends on Sunday evening but you can spend the
night there and leave on the morning after.
Q: Will there be opening times during the camp?
A: Only those dictated by biology :) Naturally the gates will close by
night. You can still leave/return to the camp by informing one of the
olograficians on shift beforehand.
Space and logistics
Q: Can I bring my motorhome? motorbike? tank?
A: You can't bring vehicles of any kind inside the camp, we'll be in a
park and we'll have to respect the nature inside it. Naturally you can
park your vehicles in the surrounding area at an affordable distance
from the camp.
Q: Will there be food or do I have to come already... fooded?
A: There will be catering establishments serving food and drinks, but Pescara is full of restaurants and groceries too.
Q: Can I bring my dog?
A: No problem as long as you bring the pooper scooper too :)
Q: What about fires? Can I light fires?
A: Absolutely no lighting fires in the camp.
Infrastructure
Q: Will there be power?
A: Yes, but we heartily recommend you bring power strips, adapters,
extension cords, hand lamps for the night, and anything you could need.
Q: Will there be an internet connection? what kind of?
A: Yes, more details on this as soon as they're available.
Q: What about the LAN?
A: The whole camp will be covered by a WiFi WLAN, but we'll prepare
access points for wired Ethernet connectivity too. In addition to
network cards, we recommend you bring Ethernet cable patches (if you
believe you need them).
